Lies of P: Complete Edition is out now on the Nintendo Switch 2. Celebrating this, NEOWIZ and ROUND8 Studio have released a brand-new trailer showcasing the base game as well as its Overture expansion. The trailer clocks in at a minute and forty-two seconds in length, and features a mix of scenes from the story and some gameplay. Check it out below.
The narration of the trailer focuses quite heavily on setting the atmosphere of Lies of P, with the protagonist being tasked with saving Krat in light of mechanical creatures having taken over the city. Along the way, we also get to see how well the visual style of Lies of P will translate over to the Nintendo Switch 2’s relatively weaker hardware when compared to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The Nintendo Switch 2 release date for Lies of P was officially announced just last month, with a trailer giving us our first look at the port’s visual quality. While not much gameplay was showcased at the time, we did get to see some boss fight introductions and moments of solitude with the protagonist hanging out in the hub area.
Lies of P takes place in a dark city whose visual design is based on the Belle Epoque architectural style. While the city – Krat – was once bustling with all kinds of innovations being made, ranging from art and culture to technology thanks to the creation of puppets, things took a dark turn. The puppets decided to rebel against their human creators in an event known only as the Puppet Frenzy, leading the few surviving humans to hide. Taking on the role of P, players set off to find Mr. Geppetto, and along the way, take on several puppets.
While the base game mainly focused on the current-day narrative of Krat, the DLC, Overture, gave us a look at the past. Set a small amount of time before the Puppet Frenzy kicked off, Overture gives us a look at Krat as it once was, while still forcing us to deal with strange creations. The DLC was released just last year on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Lies of P has gone on to become quite successful since its September 2023 release, and as of March this year, has sold over 4 million copies. In a press release, a NEOWIZ representative celebrated the milestone, calling it a meaningful moment for the development team.

The enthusiasm and passion the global community has shown for this title continues to inspire us, and we’re grateful to see players around the world discover and embrace our dark, reimagined take on Pinocchio’s story.”
As for the future of the franchise, NEOWIZ confirmed back in May that full-scale production on a sequel had begun. The title is once more being handled by ROUND8, with directorial duties being handled by Choi Ji-won. Interestingly, scenario writers Seung-ho Jin and Kay Lee have been turned into directors for other projects.
