Hexworks’ Lords of the Fallen continues to receive new gameplay ahead of its launch in October. After an extended preview which showcased different locations and seamless co-op, some new footage is available via IGN, highlighting a two-in-one boss fight. Check it out below.

The fight starts with players battling Tancred, a Paladin, as he executes ground slams and spear smashes. It highlights several mechanics familiar to fans of Souls-likes, like dodge-rolling. The pace is moderately faster than Dark Souls 3, but it works pretty well here.

After downing Tancred, he stabs himself with his spear, leading to Reinhold’s arrival. By comparison, Reinhold is tougher to read due to his unpredictable movements. His twisted appearance is also something to behold.

Lords of the Fallen releases on October 13th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It will run at 60 FPS on consoles. Check out the system requirements for PC here and stay tuned for more details before its release.
