Marvel Rivals - Fantastic Four

NetEase Games’ Marvel Rivals will see the second half of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, aka Season 1.5, going live in the coming days. In a new Developer Vision video, creative director Guangyun Chen confirmed the roles of The Thing and Human Torch, the remaining members of the Fantastic Four. Check it out below.

To no one’s surprise, The Thing is a Vanguard, serving as a frontline tank to soak up damage for his team while brawling with the opposition. Human Torch is a Duelist who “zooms through the air like a comet” and is a “true aerial ace,” which more or less confirms his status as a flying unit. Whether his scorching abilities will leave foes with damage over time or other statuses remains to be seen.

Finally, Season 1.5 sees the arrival of a new map, Central Park, though it’s from a tourist attraction. Dracula’s forces have set up shop while the main vamp himself has captured Ratatoskr. One side will attempt to rescue Asgard’s Squirrel God and end Dracula’s reign, while the other will presumably stop them.

Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 goes live on February 21st for all platforms. Stay tuned for more details, but don’t expect a PvE announcement.
