Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls - Ms. Marvel

With less than two weeks before the game’s launch, the open beta for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is now available on PS5 and PC. Unfortunately, it seems to have coincided with PlayStation Network issues, as some players have reported trouble logging in. Arc System Works is aware of the same and “actively investigating,” though there’s no ETA on fixes.

Worse comes worse, it could extend the open beta beyond July 26th. In terms of content, the beta includes 15 out of 20 playable characters, including the entirety of the Amazing Guardians and the Unbreakable X-Men. Of course, villains like Doctor Doom and Magneto are also available alongside the likes of Ghost Rider, Blade, Captain America, Iron Man and Black Panther.

There are six stages, each with multiple sections to break into; Versus mode for local battles against another player or the CPU; the open lobby where players can congregate and match with each other; Casual and Ranked online matches; and Training Mode. You can also play through the Amazing Guardians’ first three chapters in Episode Mode, which will have stories for every single team at launch.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is available on August 6th, and if you haven’t seen it already, check out the snazzy anime opening. The first DLC character has also been revealed: Phoenix Cyclops, coming in Fall 2026 for Year 1 Characters and Stage Pass owners.
