Arc System Works’ Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls has certainly nailed the art of bringing superhero battles to life. Meanwhile, the anime-styled presentation gives it an exciting, colorful vibe that makes it hard not to fall in love with this potent fighter.
Its mechanics might take some warming up, but they’re certainly intuitive once you really begin to let your fighters loose. While the PC version has stumbled at launch, the potential for it to be brought up to par with its PS5 counterpart and make Fighting Souls a title that dominates the space is quite evident. The gameplay is good enough to make us very excited for Phoenix Cyclops to join the fray a little later down the line.
That’s probably been the catalyst for many outlets to share our positive impressions in their respective reviews. The outpouring of praise has been succinctly cobbled together to showcase a level of accolades many others would envy nowadays (especially given the crowded release season).
