Marvel’s Avengers’ Next Patch Will Overhaul the War Table

Crystal Dynamics is also looking to improve the onboarding process for new players, primarily by bringing Nick Fury to the Helicarrier as a guide.

Marvels-Avengers Spider-Man

Marvel’s Avengers hasn’t done a very good job of grabbing players’ interest, or making sure that the ones it does grab decide to stick around. While there’s very little clarity on when (or if) we can expect the game to next content though, we do still know it’s getting a new patch, update 2.3, in the near future. Now, Crystal Dynamics has also revealed one major change that will be coming with the patch.

Marvel’s Avengers’ next update will overhaul the War Table, which, for those unaware, is where you select all your missions in the game’s hub, the Hellicarrier. Starting on March 24, which is when patch 2.3 will arrive, for starters, the War Table will now show minimum-maximum Power Level ranges for each region. Significantly, missions will also no longer change every 15 minutes, with Threat Sectors and Drop Zones appearing at all times, and HIVES appearing once you’re within their required Power Level range.

Additionally, Villain Sectors will be available without first needing to get them from Faction mission givers, while changes have also been made to Heroic Missions, Iconic Missions, Flashback Missions, and HARM Rooms.

Another change being implemented with patch 2.3 is attempting to improve the onboarding process for new players, which will primarily see Nick Fury being reintroduced to the Hellicarrier as a guide of sorts, while various quest and mission chains have also been reworked for the same purpose. You can get all the details on these changes through here.

As for what lies ahead for Marvel’s Avengers where new content is concerned is anyone’s best guess. Leaks from earlier this year claimed that She-Hulk would be added to the game’s roster of playable characters as DLC- read more on that through here.
