Square Enix kicked off its War Table presentation for Marvel’s Avengers with a new story trailer. It highlighted one of the major threats of the story, AIM and its leader George Tarleton (aka MODOK), while also revealing Ms. Marvel’s role. Check it out below.
Marvel’s Avengers kicks off with A-Day, an event that saw the Avengers outlawed by society. Players control Kamala Khan in the main campaign as she gains super-powers and eventually runs across AIM with Tarleton wanting to “help” her. This leads to her meeting up with the Avengers and attempting to reassemble them.
There’s still plenty of inter-personal conflict between the Avengers, as seen with Iron Man and Hulk coming to blows. The armies of AIM, different outfits for Iron Man, a tease of the Hulk Buster armor and the Abomination can also be spotted. Marvel’s Avengers is out on September 4th for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. It’s also coming to Xbox Series X and PS5.
