Marvel’s Avengers – Tachyon Anomaly Event is Now Live

Control teams of the same hero in Tachyon Rift missions.

Marvel's Avengers

The newest event for Marvel’s Avengers, Tachyon Anomaly, went live yesterday and will be available until May 3rd. It brings a new Tachyon mission and a weekly mission chain for obtaining Hivemind Set Gear. Perhaps the biggest appeal of the event is being able to play with teams of the same hero.

That means players can stomp around in a team of four Hulks or with a squad of Iron Men. Matchmaking is also available if you’re keen on seeing what other players bring to the table. Of course, a new event also means cosmetics. Temporal Assault Nameplates can be earned with an animated team nameplate doled out upon first-time completion of the weekly mission chain.

Individual animated nameplates for each hero can be purchased in the Marketplace. The first batch will be available till April 29th and includes Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow. On April 29th to May 6th, nameplates for Kate Bishop, Captain America, Iron Man and Ms. Marvel can be acquired. Exciting.

Marvel’s Avengers is currently available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Google Stadia. Check out our review of the base game here.
