Asobo Studios’ critically acclaimed Microsoft Flight Simulator will be bringing its gorgeous visuals to Xbox Series X/S on July 27th. It will be playable on day one via Xbox Game Pass. Check out the trailer below for the title’s first ever current-gen gameplay captured in 4K.

The title is also tying up with Paramount Pictures for an expansion focusing on the upcoming Top Gun: Maverick. It was teased slightly at the end of the trailer, which showcases a naval carrier and fighter planes. More details will be provided in the coming months en route to the movie’s release on November 19th. The best part is that the expansion will be free for all players when it releases this Fall.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available on PC (check out our review here) and has seen numerous free updates. No mention was made of the Xbox One version but perhaps we’ll learn more about that in the near future as well. Stay tuned in the meantime.
