Even if it was announced in October 2024, it feels like we’ve been waiting much longer for Mistfall Hunter’s launch. After its recent beta, the Souls-like PvEvP extraction title will launch today for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. But while PC benchmarks are readily available, what about the official resolution and frame targets for consoles?

We posited the question to Bellring Games in a recent interview, but it only confirmed that there would be separate Quality and Performance modes. It had a much more interesting answer about PS5 Pro support, though.

“PS5 Pro players can expect the most refined console version of Mistfall Hunter. The additional GPU headroom lets us push higher rendering resolutions and more stable frame rates across both Quality and Performance modes, along with sharper image quality through enhanced upscaling. In a game where reading an enemy’s wind-up or nailing a dodge-roll can decide whether you extract with everything or lose it all, that extra clarity and smoothness genuinely matters.”

Those looking for specifics will need to wait until closer to launch, so sometime today or tomorrow. And while the DualSense won’t be supported at launch, it’s “absolutely” on the developer’s radar.

“Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are planned to roll out gradually in future updates. Melee impacts, parries, and those white-knuckle extraction moments are exactly the kind of thing that deserves to be felt in your hands, and we want to do it right.”

Mistfall Hunter is available today at 6 PM PT. The Standard Edition retails for $29.99 while the Deluxe Edition costs $39.99 and includes a cosmetic outfit, Forsaken Skeleton, alongside the “Justice” pose. You also get emotes, an avatar frame, earrings, 2500 Fate Coins, and the Shipwreck Coast background for your profile.

Preloading won’t be available, so players need to wait until it’s officially available. At least it supports cross-platform matchmaking and will also be available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, which should help with the overall population, at least in the early going.
