Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

Capcom said that it would reveal more details for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak this Spring but it seems the schedule has been moved up. A digital event has been confirmed for March 15th at 10 AM PST/11 PM JST which will provide 20 minutes of new details.

This includes new information on the story, new locales and monsters, the new base Elgado and “unique characters.” The presentation can be viewed on Twitch in English and on YouTube in Japanese. Thus far, we already know that Sunbreak will take place in a new region and adds Master Rank as a new quest rank. Players may even encounter “more powerful versions” of existing monsters which have new attacks, though whether these are new sub-species remains to be seen.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is slated to release sometime this Summer for Nintendo Switch and PC. It’s a good time to hop into the base game since Capcom recently added Defender weapons and Black Belt armor which offer more damage and damage resistance. Learn more about those here.
