Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

Capcom’s Monster Hunter Rise made a very brief appearance at The Game Awards pre-show, showcasing a new teaser trailer for Sunbreak. The massive expansion is still slated to release in Summer 2022 simultaneously for PC and Nintendo Switch. But in the meantime, check out a very brief look at the newest base, Elgado.

Perhaps more interesting is that Rondine, Kamura Village’s trader from afar, plays a larger role this time, battling what seems to be a new monster (seemingly based on Fanged Wyverns like Tobi-Kadachi). Players appear to venture on her ship to the new region where Elgado is located. Thus far, it looks to be a big departure from Kamura.

Monster Hunter Rise is available for Nintendo Switch but will be coming to PC on January 12th 2022. A demo is currently available on Steam to play with no restrictions and Capcom has also detailed all of the post-launch content that will be included. Read more about the latter here.
