Capcom’s Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin has received its first free title update, adding the Palamute from Monster Hunter Rise as a new Monstie. To earn a Palamute, players need to hatch an egg from the 5 star co-op Expedition Quest “Palamute Den.” Check out some of its moves in the trailer below.
Once the main story is cleared, it’s possible to befriend a Palamute in the 8 star quest “Palamute Home.” These can have different elements and unique genes so it makes for a fun post-game activity. As for skills, the Palamute’s Kinship Skill is Rising Axel, which sees it soaring “to the heavens” and throwing its blade to “slice the wind.”
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is currently available for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. A free trial version is live on both and allows for transferring progress to the full game. More title updates will be coming in the next few months including Kulve Taroth as a co-op quest and Monsties like Hellblade Glavenus and Boltreaver Astalos on August 5th. September will see the release of Soulseer Mizutsune, Oroshi Kirin, Elderfrost Gammoth, Dreadking Rathalos and Molten Tigrex.
