Monster Hunter World Has Sold 19.6 Million, Monster Hunter Rise at 14.2 Million Sold

When factoring Iceborne Master Edition, the acclaimed action RPG has sold 24.1 million units since initially launching in 2018.

Capcom has updated its Platinum Titles page for various titles, providing updated sales numbers as of December 31st, 2023. Notable increases include Monster Hunter World, which sold 19.6 million units, up from the previously announced 19.1 million.

Including sales of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition, it’s at 24.1 million, up from 23.1 million. Iceborne alone has gone from 10.7 million to 11.6 million units sold. Monster Hunter Rise has sold 14.2 million units (up from 13.6 million), while its Sunbreak expansion is at 7.1 million sold (up from 6.5 million).

To date, Monster Hunter World remains Capcom’s best-selling title. The title recently had its highest concurrent player count on Steam in three years, following the announcement of Monster Hunter Wilds, Return to World campaign and massive discounts. Monster Hunter Wilds is launching in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, with more details to be revealed this Summer. Stay tuned in the meantime.
