During its recent Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft announced the next Forza Motorsport from Turn 10 Studios. Along with running at 4K and 60 frames per second, it will support ray-tracing. However, Smart Delivery also appears to be on the cards for the racing sim.

Over in the Games section on the official Xbox Series X page, Smart Delivery is mentioned along with other features. Which is interesting because Smart Delivery allows for a cross-gen title to recognize the platform being used and automatically provide the best version. It’s also a way to deliver free upgrades of Xbox One titles for Xbox Series X.

This leads to speculation that the next Forza Motorsport will be coming to Xbox One along with Xbox Series X. It might even indicate Xbox Lockhart support, though the rumored console has yet to be officially confirmed. It could also be a mistake on the official page. Either way, we’ll need to wait for more info.

Forza Motorsport doesn’t have a release date currently.
