According to a recent job listing by Electronic Arts for a senior designer at their Visceral Games studio (which developed the Dead Space and Army of TWO series), a next generation Star Wars title is currently in the concept phase.

As part of an exclusive deal with Disney, which recently purchased LucasArts and its various franchises which includes Star Wars, Electronic Arts has several studios currently working on next generation games based on the popular sci-fi film franchise.

Among studios working on Star Wars games are Bioware and DICE, who have indicated that they will be using Frostbite 3 as their development engine.

No other details can be gleaned from the listing, except that Visceral Games is seeking a senior designer who, along with remaining current on emerging platforms, is also up to date on new game genres and game design. It would certainly be interesting to see what kind of new spin or twist they provide to the franchise.
