Obsidian Teasing New RPG Announcement At The Game Awards 2018

The project is being developed in collaboration with Take Two's Private Division.

Remember that role-playing game that Obsidian Entertainment was working on with Take Two Interactive’s Private Division? It seems we may getting a reveal of the same at The Game Awards 2018. The buzz started when the Pillars of Eternity developer updated its website with different brand images, like “Spacer’s Choice” and “Auntie Cleo’s”.

Other brand images quickly popped up (which you can see below) and of course, there was a countdown timer. Though fans deduced a reveal at The Game Awards, producer/host Geoff Keighley went ahead on Twitter and confirmed the RPG’s global premiere at the ceremony. We don’t know much at this point, but Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, co-creators of Fallout, are leading development.

Obsidian was recently acquired by Microsoft along with inXile Entertainment. However, the partnership between Take Two and Obsidian was already in place at the time, so you can expect this new title to be available for multiple platforms. The Game Awards 2018 will be taking place on December 6th at 5:30 PM PT. You can catch it on various platforms, including YouTube.
