Outer Wilds

Mobius Digital’s Outer Wilds released in 2019 and received near universal praise for its exploration and story-telling. While it ended in a fairly satisfying way, it seems additional content could be on the way. On SteamDB, something called “Echoes of the Eye” recently cropped up, which may be DLC.

The “Eye” refers to the Eye of the Universe, one of the biggest drivers of the plot in Outer Wilds so it’s interesting to see how this possible DLC could expand on it. The record was last updated on April 29th without any other information made available. Mobius Digital hasn’t said anything about this so we’ll need to wait for some official confirmation.

Outer Wilds is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch release coming in Q3 2021. If Echoes of the Eye ends up being DLC, perhaps it will release in time for the Switch version. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
