Outward 2 stands out by keeping things grounded. It doesn’t make you the one-stop solution to all the world’s problems; instead, it makes those problems directly affect your personal growth in its world. And for those waiting to experience it for themselves, early access is finally set to launch on February 8th, 2027, for PC.
It’s a journey that’s built on the premise that even the most extraordinary warriors and adventurers began as ordinary folk who put in the work along their paths to greatness. You’ll have to be smart to survive, using your backpack to manage resources as you lay traps, learn spells, and try to secure every advantage before you take on a foe in your path. Of course, the grand adventure behind it all is a major part of its charm, and we’re impressed with the art design and presentation. We’ve been interested in what it’s offering ever since we sat down with its creative director a few months ago.
A new trailer shows off some of the game’s world, and how you’re part of it. You’re left to shape it to your liking…if you don’t mind a few stumbles and premature deaths (either alone or with a friend).
