With Overwatch 2 still a ways off, fans of Overwatch’s PvE action will need to revisit the Archives event for their fix. It’s currently live till April 27th and offers three missions – Uprising, Retribution and Storm Rising. New cosmetics are available from loot boxes with Genji, Tracer, Soldier 76, Zarya and Widowmaker receiving “historical” Legendary skins.

Of course, new skins are also available to acquire for Lucio, Zenyatta and Mercy via the weekly challenges. Though not much has changed content-wise, the challenge missions do have new modifiers. These include Bulletproof Barriers which make enemy barriers invulnerable; Sympathy Gains where damaging an enemy will heal its allies; and Thunderstorm which allows enemies to damage all nearby players.

Completing challenge missions confers additional loot boxes so they may be worth checking out each week. As for Overwatch 2, it’s currently in development for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for more details on the sequel and check out some of the biggest differences from the original here.
