The roster in Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch became a little more crowded when Ashe launched a few weeks ago. The leader of the Deadlock Gang, Ashe is a new DPS hero that was all buddy-buddy with McCree before the latter left the gang. She’s only been available in Quick Play and Arcade Mode- until now. Ashe has now officially entered Competitive Play.

Holding back a hero from Competitive Play for a few weeks is nothing new in Overwatch. It allows players time to acclimatize themselves with Ashe’s mechanics, especially on different maps. More importantly, it prevents players who played her on the Public Test Realm server from having an inherent advantage.

Ashe certainly packs an interesting kit, with a lever-action rifle that can be used for long-range, high-damage shots, and hip-fired for quicker bursts. She can also throw dynamite and shoot it, causing explosive damage and burning damage over time. Her Coach Gun helps to knock back foes and reach higher spots. However, it’s her Ultimate, a giant Omnic named B.O.B. that’s arguably the highlight, since it can function as another hero, charging foes and firing at them while contesting objectives.
