Overwatch Busan

Blizzard Entertainment’s newest map for Overwatch is now playable on all platforms. Busan, South Korea is the home of Hana Song a.k.a. D.Va, and is a new Control map, the first to release since Oasis in January 2017. Of course, being a Control map means there are three separate areas to explore.

The first is Sanctuary, a temple with gardens and an old-timey feel to it. From there, the battle moves Downtown, full of advertisements, flashing billboards and the odd D.Va product placement. Players can head to the karaoke bar to play a Dance Dance Revolution knockoff, or simply battle it out next to the light rail station. The last map heads to MEKA Base, the focus of the Shooting Star cinematic.

The development team worked closely with the cinematic department to ensure that MEKA Base was as close to that seen in the short. As such, it offers three blast doors that are constantly moving and providing cover for allies.
