Overwatch Shooting Star

It seemed a long shot that Overwatch’s D.Va could be the focus of its next cinematic short, even if the newest revealed map is Busan. Regardless, “Shooting Star” brings the off-tank into the spotlight and even offers some origins into her self-destruct ability. Check it out below.

The short sees D.Va acting on her lonesome when taking out threats, shouldering all the responsibility for herself. Of course, this inevitably leads to her asking for help, which leads to the city of Busan avoiding disaster. It’s a sweet story and showcases the kind of panache and style that Blizzard is famous for. Of course, where the story has been going since Doomfist broke out of prison is still a sore point, but one step at a time.

As for Busan, there’s no current date for its release or when it will hit the Public Test Realm (UPDATE: Busan has hit the Public Test Realm on PC). If Blizzard’s track record is anything to go by, the Control map should arrive in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more information and let us know what you think of the short below.
