Overwatch Wrecking Ball

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch will see its next hero Wrecking Ball (who still hasn’t been renamed so stop asking) added to live servers on July 24th. The developer announced the same on Twitter, warning players to beware “of small mammals”.

Wrecking Ball was available on Public Test Realm servers exclusively for PC owners of the game before now. His release next week means that PS4 and Xbox One players will also get a chance to try out his rolling antics. For those out of the loop, Wrecking Ball is essentially a hamster inside of a giant rolling mech.

As the latest Tank, he can roll around freely, grapple onto objects and tackle enemies with enough momentum, smash into the ground and use gatling guns for hitscan damage. Furthermore, Hammond’s Ultimate allows him to drop mines, which should help in holding chokepoints or capture points. He also possesses a personal shield that increases depending on the number of enemies in range, allowing for more tankiness.
