Palworld Early Access Launch Won’t Have PvP or Crossplay

Developer Pocketpair will share a roadmap for its Year 1 plans shortly after the launch of early access on January 19th.

After announcing release date for Palworld, which arrives in early access, developer Pocketpair has published an FAQ. It confirmed that player vs. player (PvP) won’t be available initially, but it’s currently testing the same internally and “experimenting with different approaches.

“We want to find the right type of PvP that fits Palworld, and when it is ready, we will share news with you all.” Though the survival crafting title will be available for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S (along with Game Pass), it won’t support cross-platform between Xbox and Steam. However, the developer is “working to make this a possibility as soon as possible!”

Additional languages also aren’t planned for the early access launch, but Pocketpair is interested in adding more over time. Finally, there aren’t any plans for Palworld to come to PS5, but it will be considered during development.

Palworld launches into early access on January 19th with over 100 Pals, 70+ building types, and more than 350 items. It will remain in early access for at least a year and will continue to receive new content. Pocketpair will reveal the roadmap for its current Year 1 plan after launch, so stay tuned.
