Grinding Gear Games’ Path of Exile will see the announcement of its next expansion soon. And we do mean “soon” – according to community director and producer Bex on Reddit, the expansion will be announced on June 2nd at 2 PM PDT. In the meantime, the developer will be showcasing the upcoming content to various publications.

The new expansion will be similar in size to Delve, Incursion and Blight but smaller than Conquerors of the Atlas and even Betrayal. What new mechanics it could introduce remains to be seen. After the response to Delirium, it hopefully won’t be anything too complicated or performance-hindering.

Though the announcement of the expansion and its next Challenge League is near, that doesn’t mean a release date has been fixed yet. Bex stated that it was “still too early” for any “firm confirmation”. We’ll have to wait for the actual announcement to see the final launch date and prepare for any delays.
