Side quests are also getting a much needed improvement in Persona 5, which means that hopefully they’ll be more of a focus than they have been in previous entries. Mementos is a dungeon dedicated solely to side quests, which is definitely an interesting design choice to have in an RPG. What’s also interesting – and a little worrying, to be honest – is the fact that the Mementos dungeon, unlike all the other dungeons in the game and like all the other dungeons in Persona 3 and 4, will be randomly generated. We’re not sure if we like the sound of that, but we’re not too far away from finding out if our fears are valid.
