PlayStation Congratulates Nintendo Over The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Adventure awaits.

The first batch of reviews for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild went live today, and the reception is overwhelmingly, universally positive, with perfect scores galore. With Breath of the Wild being considered the best Zelda game, one of the best Nintendo games ever, and indeed, one of the best games of all time, it looks like Nintendo has once again redefined a paradigm in a fashion it has not for over a decade now.

And it looks like Sony is happy for Nintendo here, too. Posting on Twitter, PlayStation UK congratulated Nintendo UK for the game, and its stupendous reception. They also slipped in a note about their own open world RPG, Horizon: Zero Dawn, pointing out that no matter ‘which adventure you choose this weekend,’ it’s going to be great- and they are right, it’s a great time to be a gamer, no matter what platform you own.

It’s nice to see camaraderie between these brands, especially given how toxic their fans can be sometimes. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will launch tomorrow, on Nintendo Switch and Wii U- and we haven’t forgotten about our own review for the game. It’s coming, and it’s coming soon. Stay tuned.
