PS4 Remote Play Games Capped at 30 FPS on Vita?

Resogun developer Housemarque reveals the same.

Resogun developer Housemarque has posted a new picture on Twitter which shows the side-scrolling shoot ’em up running on the PlayStation Vita through the PS4’s Remote Play feature. You can check it out below.

However, on being asked whether it was running at 60 frames per second or 30 frames per second on the PS Vita. Housemarque revealed that it was 30 FPS, and also stated that it was capped at such for all games using Remote Play.

This is fairly interesting, since this hasn’t been mentioned by Sony or any other developer till now. In fact, it hasn’t been noticed despite footage being released of games such as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag running on the PS Vita via PS4’s Remote Play.

What are your thoughts on the same? Let us know in the comments below. The PlayStation 4 releases tomorrow in North America while the European launch will be on November 29th. Stay tuned for more details.
