PS5 – Another Real-Life Image of the DualSense Seems to Have Leaked

Doesn't look as massive as many may have feared.

Over the past few months, Sony have slowly but surely pulled back the lid on what aesthetic they’re going for with the upcoming PS5, and we now know exactly what’s going to be. We’ve seen images of the PS5, its accessories, and its controller – the new DualSense – but we haven’t really seen any real-life images of any of those things to give us a clearer idea of things like, say, the sizes and dimensions of all that hardware.

Though Sony are yet to release any official images for that purpose so far, some have reportedly been leaking through. An image of the PS5 from its production line allegedly leaked last month, while recently, we saw another photo that claimed to be the first real-life image of the DualSense, held in a person’s hand. Now, it seems another similar image of the PS5’s new controller has leaked.

Over on Twitter, @gamezawy_co has uploaded an image showing a DualSense being held in a hand. As is always the case with such things, there’s a lot of skepticism about whether this is real – you’d be surprised at the amount of effort people put into creating convincing fakes – but based on the controller’s size and things such as the reflections and shadows, the image does look pretty convincing. Either way, take this with a grain of salt for now.

Featuring haptic feedback instead of the traditional rumble console controller’s have had for decades, as well as new adaptive triggers, the DualSense is promising interesting things. How well they’re implemented remains to be seen, but developers – including the likes of Supermassive Games, Codemasters, and Techland, among others – have been talking about the controller quite positively.
