Sony has finally provided a solid time frame for the reveal of upcoming PS5 games. The digital presentation will take place on June 4th at 1 PM PDT and will feature “the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe.” It also seems that the company will be fulfilling its desire for a global launch.

Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Jim Ryan spoke about the challenges that the company’s various teams had faced in these times. With regards to whether games would be delayed or the console would only launch in select markets, Ryan said, “And finally, the people who make games. We, and our partners, seem to be coping really well. And so we are on track. We are going to launch this holiday and we’re going to launch globally. We’re really looking forward to it and it’s going to be a blast.”

It would be safer to wait for a full list of regions that the PS5 will launch in before getting too hype. Still, for those living in Japan who had to wait till the console arrived several months after its US and European releases, there’s hope. As for Sony’s upcoming showcase of PS5 games, the company isn’t expected to showcase the physical console or indicate a price.

Thankfully, it will offer more information in a series of updates after next week’s event. So stay tuned in the coming weeks and months especially as marketing kicks into overdrive.
