Is Remedy’s Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break on the verge of being dated at this week’s Gamescom? Xbox boss Phil Spencer seems to be hinting at as much.

It’s no surprise that the long in development Quantum Break will be showcased at Microsoft’s Gamescom presser. However, when asked on Twitter about whether the action adventure game would be given a firm release date at Gamescom, Spencer responded that, “You’ll see on Tuesday. I think you’ll be happy.”

No solid confirmation for sure but there still seems to be hope that a release date could indeed be the case.

Quantum Break was revealed to the world in May 2013 alongside the Xbox One’s unveiling. It was meant to have a TV series act as a sort of companion piece until Microsoft took its focus away from original TV programming. There’s been plenty of talk about the episodes being on-disc but we’ll wait to Gamescom to find out Quantum Break’s current direction.

Microsoft’s Gamescom presser is on August 4th, 10 AM EST. Stay tuned for more information and coverage from Gamescom throughout this week.
