id Software and Avalanche Studios continue their stream of post-launch support for the open world first person shooter, RAGE 2. The game has received a meaty new update, which adds a New Game Plus option, and two new difficulty settings (one of which sounds particularly hardcore)- but, of course, there’s still plenty more to come.
For instance, the game is scheduled to receive two expansions by the end of the year, both of which will add new story content, factions, abilities, and areas in the open world. The first, Rise of the Ghosts, was originally scheduled to come out in August, but as per a new tweet from the game’s official Twitter page that shows an updated roadmap, that DLC has now been slightly delayed. It now comes out in September.
Meanwhile, the release window for the second expansion – slated for a Fall launch – has also been narrowed down a bit. We now know it’ll be out in November of this year. Take a look at the entire updated roadmap below.
RAGE 2 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In our review of the game, we called it “an accomplished first person shooter, but a bland and disappointing open world experience.” Read our full review through here.
