Development on Rainbow Six Extraction has been anything but smooth with multiple delays since its E3 2019 reveal. However, it seems that the co-op shooter has finally gold, meaning that principle development has finally completed and it’s now being sent for disc manufacture and digital store certification.

Inspired by Rainbow Six Siege’s Outbreak mode, Extraction sees the world under assault by an alien parasite known as the Archaeans. It’s up to R.E.A.C.T. to venture into different hives, battling the aliens and keeping their threat under check. There are 18 different Operators to choose from, each with their own unique abilities, whether it’s Doc’s healing abilities and Finka’s nanobots.

Rainbow Six Extraction is out on January 20th 2022 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Google Stadia. It will retail for $40 and feature endgame content like the Maelstrom Protocol. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming weeks.
