It feels hard to believe at times, but it’s now been 25 years since the Resident Evil series first began. Easily the long running horror franchise in video gaming (and maybe the most consistently running horror IP of all time), it’s been an incredible ride to watch. This year there is a lot planned for the franchise, from films, TV shows and biggest of all, the next mainline entry in Resident Evil Village. But it’s also getting some crossover with another long running game.
It seems Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege, the latest entry in a franchise that has quite a long story all its own, will get a new skin based on Jill Valentine. She’s one of the original characters from the Resident Evil franchise and was last seen in Resident Evil 3 remake last year. The skin is part of the Elite set for Zofia that includes Jill’s S.T.A.R.S. Unit uniform, headgear and victory dance alongside weapon skins for the LMG-E, M762, and RG15, a gadget skin for her KS79 Lifeline and the R.E. Elite Zofia Chibi charm. You can check it out below, and it’ll set you back 1800 R6 credits in the game. This actually marks the second Ubisoft IP to get a crossover of this nature, as some themed items showed up earlier in the year in The Division 2.
Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. You can see Jill in Resident Evil 3, which is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and then you can check out Resident Evil Village May 7th for all those systems plus next gen and Stadia.
