As per Strauss Zelnick, porting the open world title to PC wouldn't be much of a challenge.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Speculation about a PC release for last year’s stellar Rockstar open world title, Red Dead Redemption 2has been rife since before the game even launched. Time and time and time again there’s been evidence suggesting that a PC version could end up happening, even though Take-Two Interactive have been frustratingly tight-lipped about it.

Now, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick’s latest comments on the matter have given a glimmer of hope to those who want the open world epic on PC. Speaking at an investors briefing (via GameSpot), Strauss was asked if  bringing Red Dead Redemption 2 to PC would be a “layup” (read: very easy, for those not familiar with basketball speak). His response to it was plain and simple.

“There is no downside to releasing the game on PC,” he said.

The first Red Dead Redemption was an infamously challenging game to port, but Grand Theft Auto 5 would eventually make its way over to PC, and seeing as Rockstar games definitely have a huge market on the platform, it wouldn’t be a leap to assume that they’d want to release Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC as well.

Either way, for now it remains, sadly, unconfirmed still. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for all future updates.
