Rockstar Games is starting to lay out its cards with Red Dead Redemption 2 after months of silence. In a recent blog post centered on new screenshots, the developer teased at the end that there would more information in June. That information would include the first details about the game’s special editions.

Note the use of the word “editions”, implying that Red Dead Redemption 2 will have more than one. It’s possible that a Collector’s Edition will be available for higher than the base version’s price. An even costlier special edition, one with physical collectibles, could also be offered for retail.

Whenever the reveal may take place, all eyes are on E3 2018. Red Dead Redemption 2’s online mode is touted to have content exclusive to PS4 players so it wouldn’t be too odd to see Rockstar make an appearance at Sony’s E3 2018 presser. That also fuels speculation for a PS4 bundle, especially since Grand Theft Auto 5 received a similar bundle in the past. Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on October 26 for Xbox One and PS4.
