Gunfire Games’ Remnant: From the Ashes is out next week and the developer has released a new trailer, bringing players up to speed on how to survive. The trailer covers everything from the story to combat besides providing a good look at the overall aesthetics. Check it out below.

In Remnant: From the Ashes, Earth has been hit hard by an interdimensional alien force called The Root. As one of the last survivors, you embark on a dimension-hopping mission to try and find a way to defeat this threat. Along the way, you’ll scavenge different items, equipping armour and different weapon types – from swords and maces to rifles and handguns – in order to survive.

Taking some inspiration from Souls-like titles, you’ll dodge, roll and fight through numerous, dynamically generated environments with varying paths. Though it’s meant as a co-op shooter for up to three friends, Remnant: From the Ashes can be played solo as well. It’s out on August 20th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
