Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 recently received two new gameplay trailers, each from the perspective of different playable characters. The first sees Claire facing off against the Tyrant on numerous occasions, while the second focuses on Leon and his adventures. Eventually, Ada Wong is seen in the latter’s gameplay.

The Tyrant is arguably the highlight of these new videos. He’s exactly as you remembered him from the PlayStation One classic – unstoppable, unfazed by any damage, and capable of hurting our heroes real bad. While there will be some point where the Tyrant can be taken down, many instances in the game will see Claire having to run from him (not unlike the Nemesis in Resident Evil 3).

Other nice teases include Sherry Birkin being controllable and navigating the new orphanage section; and Ada Wong using an interesting device to bypass a large fan. With how much Capcom has added to and changed about the original, the lack of a “remake” tag makes more sense. Resident Evil 2 is out on January 25th 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
