Resident Evil “Full Scale Offensive” Planned by Capcom for FY 2017

Could this mean Resident Evil 7 finally being unveiled?

Resident Evil Umbrella Corps

Capcom has some interesting plans in store for the Resident Evil franchise. As per its recent financial report, the company is planning a “full-scale offensive” for the latter half of the fiscal year.

“In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017, the Company is scheduled to release… Resident Evil Umbrella Corps (for PlayStation 4 and PC) of the Resident Evil series, which marked its 20th anniversary in March 2016, as warm up to the full-scale offensive planned for the second half of the year.”

This “full-scale offensive” can be interpreted in a variety of ways. We already know that remasters for Resident Evil 4 and 5 will be out later this year (the latter in Summer and the former in Fall) but could there be something more? Maybe the long rumoured Resident Evil 7 will finally make its presence known and release before March 31st 2017?

Regardless of what happens, you can look forward to plenty of Resident Evil this year.
