Rocksmith All-New 2014 Edition Announced, Features Kinect Support

Get ready to rock. Again.

Posted By | On 10th, Jun. 2013

Ubisoft certainly knows how to start a press conference. For its E3 presser, Jerry Cantrell from Alice in Chains started on stage with a guitar and began giving out instructions to Kinect to change instruments and increase the pace of the music. What was to be a press conference quickly devolved into an impromptu rock concert.

Eventually, Cantrell was joined by three more band members, each on different instruments including drums, guitar and keyboard before the announcement finally came for Rocksmith All-New 2014 Edition.

Cantrell describes it as “jamming with real musicians” and the game will be coming out this October. It would seem that the Xbox One version, which takes advantage of all those voice features to change instruments on the fly, would be out in November alongside the console when it launches worldwide.

But regardless, it is still touted as the fastest way to learn guitar. So there’s that. Stay tuned for more.
