Rockstar Mag’s Chris Klippel has suggested in a recent tweet that Rockstar Games is getting ready for an imminent announcement.

It is worth noting that, as with all leaks and rumours, Klippel’s words should be taken with a grain of salt. Rockstar has made no official statement on any upcoming announcements, and the company has been quiet about its plans for any of June’s many gaming events.

If Rockstar Games does end up announcing something soon, it could be any number of things. The studio has quite a few franchises that could easily use sequels, including games with cult-followings like Bully, or even the inevitable reveal of Grand Theft Auto 6. According to Klippel, the announcement would be a “new project”.

There have also been reports by insiders about a potential sequel for Bully. Although information about Bully 2 was “a bit blurry”, industry insider Tom Henderson previously took to Twitter and said, “I still stand by that there’s something going on with the Bully series.”

Klippel had earlier suggested that Rockstar is currently gearing up to bring Red Dead Redemption 2 to current-gen consoles. Klippel has also suggested that the original Red Dead Redemption could also be getting a remake.

Take-Two’s recent earnings reports have revealed that the company plans to release quite a few remakes and remasters before 2025, so it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that Rockstar could be trying to bring Red Dead Redemption the remake treatment.
