It’s hard to keep track of Square Enix’s remasters and new releases this year, especially when they’re as niche as Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered. Nevertheless, fans of the 2005 PS2 classic will have plenty to look forward to in the remaster beyond improved visuals. Check out the latest gameplay trailer, which highlights the improvements and new features below.
As with SaGa Frontier Remastered, there’s a high-speed mode and the option to Quick Save in the field and dungeons. New Game+ is also confirmed, and you can choose what to carry over into a new playthrough (so maybe you’ll have a better chance of trying to take Gallahad’s Ice Sword). New content includes Ultimate Difficulty boss battles, additional playable characters, and events.
Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered releases on December 1st for PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, PC (via Steam), iOS and Android. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay en route to release.
