SaGa Emerald Beyond - Tsunanori Mido

Square Enix has released a free demo for SaGa Emerald Beyond, the next mainline title in the unorthodox role-playing game series. It’s available for PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch, allowing players to control Tsunanori Mido, one of six playable characters. Check out the release trailer below.

The demo follows the beginning of Mido’s story, a resident of Miyako City who departs to investigate disruptions in the spirit realm. His quest involves seeking out four elemental spirits, utilizing puppets to fight alongside him. Party members learn new abilities thanks to Glimmering, with choices varying based on the difficulty of a battle.

Mido’s puppets can’t learn any abilities, but they can mimic other party members. Head here for more details on how the game works, including the timeline-based combat and exploration. SaGa Emerald Beyond is out on April 25th worldwide – check out the latest character trailer, highlighting the songstress mech Diva No. 5.
