When the Saints Row reboot arrives in a few months, it’ll take players to a completely new location for the series in the city of Santo Ileso. Developer Volition has been promising that the open world city is going to be large and varied, comprising several unique biomes. One of these, it seems, has emerged in a recent batch of leaked screenshots.

Saints Row’s senior environmental artist Tim Wasson recently uploaded a bunch of new screenshots from the game to his ArtStation page. The images clearly weren’t supposed to go up, since they were promptly taken down- but not before they were shared by a user on Reddit.

The screens focus on showcasing the game’s environments, particularly is desert-like arid badlands that surround the city of Santo Ileso. Purely from a fidelity perspective, the environments are looking gorgeous- hopefully the game will maintain a similar visual quality across the entire map. You can check out all the screenshots below.

Tomorrow, Volition will be sharing new details on Saints Row’s many customization mechanics in a new showcase. Stay tuned for all of those details and more.

Saints Row is launching on August 23 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
