Scarlet Nexus, the latest action hack and slash title from Bandai Namco, appears to be on track for its release next month. The publisher has released a video showcasing the opening animation, which features “Dream in Drive” by The Oral Cigarettes as its theme. Check it out below.
Taking place in the Brain Punk future, Scarlet Nexus sees the city of New Himuka under siege by strange creatures known as The Others. Only those with psychic powers can take down The Others, which led to the creation of the Other Suppression Force or OSF. Playing as Yuito and Kasane over the course of the story, players will hunt down The Others while learning more about their threat.
Along with telekinesis, both Yuito and Kasane can take on the abilities of their allies during battle for additional benefits. Scarlet Nexus is slated to release on June 25th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks especially with Bandai Namco confirmed for E3 2021.
