Atlus has provided updated sales figures for Shin Megami Tensei 5, which saw the release of its enhanced Vengeance version last year. It sold over two million copies worldwide, with Vengeance crossing one million sales. The last milestone for the latter was over 500,000 sales in three days last June.

Sales for both titles crossed 1.6 million around the same time, so about 400,000 additional copies have been sold since then. Shin Megami Tensei 5 launched for the Nintendo Switch in November 2021, selling over one million copies worldwide in its first few months. Vengeance launched in June 2024 for Switch, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.

Alongside the base game’s story, it features the new Vengeance route, with over 75 hours of additional gameplay. Atlus also added new demons to collect, a brand new character in Yoko, new difficulty levels, and much more. There are even 20 new battle themes, with the overall soundtrack increased by 80 percent.
