Amidst the rumor that Ubisoft will release sequels for Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry in the next fiscal year, one has to wonder about Skull and Bones. Developed by Ubisoft Singapore, the naval combat action title was announced at E3 2018 but subsequently delayed to 2019. It would see another delay with Ubisoft placing its release in fiscal year 2020.
However, it may skip that release window as well. According to Kotaku’s Jason Schreier on Twitter, Skull and Bones has seen “lots of reboots” with its creative director having left at the end of 2018. He noted that, “It’ll be a while for that one still.”
Ubisoft could potentially drop a new trailer for it at E3 2020 but that doesn’t mean it’ll be out before March 31st 2020, especially with so many other triple-A releases scheduled. We’ll have to wait for more information from the company over the next few months. In the meantime, Watch Dogs: Legion, Rainbow 6: Quarantine and Gods and Monsters are still upcoming for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
