Not Too Long a Wait for PC/PS3 Users

Always getting the short end of the stick

Timed exclusive DLC isn’t exactly a new thing, let alone for the Xbox 360. I’m sure a portion of the community is frustrated by this particular arrangement, but it shouldn’t be too horrific a fate. That is, provided the wait isn’t too long for other platforms. Let’s hope Bethesda and Microsoft don’t take the piss too much with this whole timed DLC malarkey.

New Weapon Types

I know the Fantasy genre doesn’t exactly posses a cavalcade of weaponry, but Skyrim still put out a pretty limited arsenal. Hints have already been found in recent update files that we’ll be getting crossbows in Dawnguard, but some other weapons wouldn’t go amiss. Spears anyone? Maybe some kind of javelin? Something that isn’t a sword or axe?

Something Fresh

Been there, done that, slayed the dragon

Most DLC tends to just add more of the same. This is normally welcomed in games that are fairly short but, in the case of a game with as much content as Skyrim, more of the same is just not needed. Even the most diligent of players are unlikely to have accessed all the game’s content, and PC players also have a plethora of awesome mods to go through. Let’s hope Dawnguard is a totally new experience that justifies our time and money.
