Skyrim: Special Edition Mod Seriously Shines Up Nightingale Armour

A respected Dragonborn has to look their best, of course.

Skyrim

While it might seem like the Fallout series is seeing all of the mod love with major DLC sized content being created by fans for Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4, Bethesda’s game that just won’t die, Skyrim has received some love too. You can download the Nightingale 4K mod right here.

Recreated from totally scratch made retextures, as well as neural network upscales of the original texture maps to 4K and 2K, and heavily enhanced Normal Maps, the armour looks just about photorealistic. Mod creator Borx25 wrote “Crafted with emphasis on the fact that this is a set of equipment that is passed through generations of Nightingales, hence the heavy weathering on the black leather”. The Nightingale Blade was also given some love with better Polycount and proportions.

While this mod was designed for Skyrim Special Edition on PC, those looking to play the eternal RPG without mods have more than a few choices on how to play the game. From Xbox 360 to a toilet, Skyrim is playable on literally anything. Todd has said to stop buying Skyrim if you want them to stop releasing it, which- yeah, that makes sense.
